Quarto Press was established in 1975 and has grown to establish itself as a leading lithography printing business that primarily services the South African corporate sector. Lithography (from Greek - lithos, 'stone' + - graphein, 'to write') is a method for printing using a lithographic limestone or a metal plate with a completely smooth surface. Invented in 1796 by Bavarian author Alois Senefelder as a low-cost method of publishing theatrical works, lithography can be used to print text or artwork onto paper or another suitable material. The technological advancement of our machinery allows Quarto Press to print on any sheet-fed material. We are committed to always producing high quality print work for all of our clients. In 2005 MSG Afrika Investment Holdings, a 100% black-owned media and communications investment company acquired 25,1% of Quarto Press, kick-starting the company’s Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) strategy. Today, the company is a Level 4 Contributor to BBBEE.
Quarto Press prides itself on making things happen quickly and efficiently for its customers. The commercial printer, based in Gosforth Park, Johannesburg has grown in size, reputation, and workload to the point where its 58 staff members and plethora of technology are bulging out of the doors.
